
Demi Williams
After interning with Kalamazoo Housing Advocates through Michigan State University’s College of Social Sciences, Demi now serves as the Serenity House Manager for Kalamazoo Housing Advocates.
As a Kalamazoo local, Demi is passionate about Kalamazoo, and is committed to further empowering the community that empowered her. She is naturally drawn to social work, and takes a particular interest in the legalities behind community work, expansion, and healing.
While at Michigan State, Demi studied Human Development and Family Studies with a Minor in Law, Justice, and Public Policy.
During her studies, Demi was involved in several community Executive Boards including the Black Student’s Alliance, Michigan State’s Women’s Network, Black Girls Unite, and Curlfriends.
Demi has also been awarded one of Michigan State’s University’s Student Leader Awards. Due to the advocacy work at KHA, Demi looks forward to continued community healing through affordable housing.
